Woodlands Islamic Center (“WIC”, “we”) respects your privacy. This page explains what we collect through this website and how we use it.
What we collect
- Information you choose to send us through forms — such as your name, email, phone, and message.
- Registration details for programs, events, volunteering, and iftar sponsorship.
- Basic technical information needed to keep the site secure (for example, a one-way hash of your network address used to stop spam).
How we use it
Only to respond to you, run our programs and events, and keep the website safe. We do not sell or rent your information.
Private and sensitive requests
Questions for the imam, counseling requests, and Zakat applications are stored securely and are visible only to the imam, approved counselors, and the Zakat Committee. Website administrators cannot open them. Staff notification emails never include their contents. Uploaded documents are kept in a private folder that is not reachable from the internet.
Payments
Donations and payments are processed by our payment providers (Square, PayPal, Zelle). Card details are entered on their secure pages and are never stored on this website.
We only send newsletters to people who confirm their subscription. Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link.
Photos
We do not publish photos of children without permission. To ask us to remove a photo, contact the office.
Cookies
Public pages do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Videos load from YouTube only after you press play. Staff sign-in uses a secure session cookie.
