Welcome
Welcome — we’re glad you’re here
Whether you’re a Muslim new to the area or a neighbor curious about Islam, you are welcome at Masjid Abu-Huraira.
Your first visit
What to expect
A visit usually takes 20 to 40 minutes. You don’t need to know anything in advance — just come as you are.
Where to park
Park in the main lot. At busy times such as Jumu‘ah and Eid, additional parking is available — please follow volunteers’ directions.
Where to enter
Use the main entrance and remove your shoes before the prayer area. Shoe racks are provided.
What to wear
Modest, comfortable clothing that covers arms and legs. Women are asked to bring a scarf to cover their hair in the prayer hall. Clean socks are a good idea.
Wudu (ablution)
Muslims wash before prayer. If you are visiting to observe, you do not need to make wudu. A volunteer can show you the wudu area if you’d like to learn.
Brothers’ and sisters’ spaces
Men and women pray in their own rows or areas. If you are unsure where to go, just ask — someone will happily show you.
Children and families
Families are welcome. Please keep young children close during prayer so everyone can focus.
Accessibility
Chairs are available for anyone who needs to sit during prayer. Contact the office before your visit if you need any other help.
Prayer etiquette
Walk quietly and avoid passing directly in front of someone who is praying. Visitors are welcome to sit at the back and observe.
